Though my major thrust in this paper will be to focus on Technology Companies, funding is absolutely a prerequisite to getting things going, I'm sure you all will agree. So, I offer this link just for your information. It's good to know that Venture Capitalist have their eyes on the web...and especially the technology companies. The companies that give us HTML Monkeys the tools we need to dazzle the public with our marketing.
Whenever one talks about Technology on the Web, something must be said about the ever present MEDIA HYPE. As I go along, I'll try to point out whats happening now. It should be noted that todays hype is usually tomorrows reality. It's just that the hype will have you think it's happening today. You'll hear from alot of folks not to incorporate all this high-badwidth technology into your site. That only a small percentage of your target audience will be anything but frustrated by it and that they'll go somewhere where the site and their technology is on a more even par. This is true. I dont propose that all the Bell & Whistles be incorportaed into the same site. There is a way, however to introduce higher technologies to those who wish them and can afford the luxury. |
Accel Partners A Venture Capital Company with $500,000,000 to invest. Willing to consider investing in any size project.
